Objective
Bloom’s taxonomy is a key foundation for any pedagogical and learning framework. The scaffolding that it creates allows the transition from lower to higher levels of cognitive development. It has been operationalised in differing educational and training environments and has been realised in different forms such as ‘Cognitive Acceleration’ (Adey, 1993). The key theme is to challenge the student, otherwise what is the purpose of education?
The units progress from low threshold remembering tasks to more cognitively advanced creative tasks.
